Our Dentist

Dr. Heyward Robinson grew up in Columbia. He graduated with a B.S. in biology from the University of South Carolina in 1994, and then graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina, College of Dental Medicine in 1999. He joined Dr. Smith’s practice in 2001, and they formed a partnership. He and his wife, Lee, have three sons: Matthew, Elliott and Carlisle.

He is passionate about comprehensive restorative dentistry and especially enjoys the advances in aesthetic dentistry. He is a certified Invisalign provider. He also enjoys endodontics (root canal therapy) and implant dentistry.

His professional associations include the South Carolina Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Palmetto Study Club.  He is honored to be a  Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and in 2019 he was inducted as both a Fellow of the American College of Dentists as well as the Academy of General Dentistry. His post graduate studies are continuous and include the L.D. Pankey Institute of Key Biscayne, Florida and the Spear Institute. Each year he far exceeds the requirements for continuing education. Dr. Heyward Robinson welcomes a challenge and is known by his dental patients in Lexington, SC as a perfectionist.
